Mission

The Administrative and Financial Director (DAF) implements strategic decisions in financial and organizational matters. They oversee and secure a wide scope: all financial management, accounting, human resources, administrative, and legal activities. The DAF participates in developing Jacarandas’ strategy alongside the two founding shareholders and ensures its implementation, actively involving the teams. The DAF plays a significant role in corporate governance and performance improvement.

Tasks – Activities

Financial Management:

  • Accounting Management: Ensure reliable accounts, prepare monthly closings, create financial statements, and ensure compliance with procedures and accounting standards.
  • Treasury Management: Monitor cash flow and operational budgets daily, set credit policies, and manage relationships with financial partners. Optimize financing and participate in strategic investment operations.
  • Management Control: Oversee monthly reporting for operational directors and management, establish control plans, and make strategic and operational forecasts.

Administrative and Legal Management:

  • Ensure compliance with current legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Control legal contracts (insurers, service providers, subcontractors), manage disputes, and oversee movable and real estate assets (SCI).
  • Manage relationships and negotiate with external partners (bankers, auditors, professional organizations, administrations).
  • Organize general meetings and handle strategic dossiers (acquisitions, asset sales, etc.).
  • Conduct legal, regulatory, and economic monitoring of their sector (financial, tax, social, environmental standards).

Human Resources Management:

  • Ensure the application of labor codes and collective agreements.
  • Define and manage social policies and optimize management tools.
  • Supervise personnel administration: employment contracts, payroll, leave, and personnel files.

Additional Activities:

  • Lead a project to improve the Group’s information system (implementing a management tool).
  • Manage the purchase of supplies, small equipment, and various suppliers, ensuring logistics (supplier negotiations, centralizing orders).
  • Work part-time or as an interim manager in Lean Management.

Profile

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar environment.
  • A hands-on professional with strong leadership, adaptability, pragmatism, and the ability to work in a complex environment. Strong work ethic.
  • Languages: French is mandatory, English is a plus, and Malagasy is appreciated.

Conditions

  • Position Location: Based in Antananarivo, Madagascar, with frequent domestic travel.
  • Contract: Permanent contract with a 3-month probation period, renewable once.
  • Salary: According to experience.
  • Housing Allowance: Negotiable.

  • Round-trip Ticket: Madagascar-France (or Europe).
  • Vacation: 5 weeks.
