Position based in Nosy Be
Jacarandas is looking for a Crop Manager who will be responsible for:
- Translating the goals set by Management regarding the management of the plantation, site, and nursery.
- Proposing an operational schedule per team, specifying labor requirements based on KPIs (human and material resource needs) in line with objectives provided by the branch manager.
- Organizing, overseeing, and efficiently managing crop activities on the plantation.
- Coordinating cross-departmental actions with other departments within the agency.
- Setting up data collection, monitoring, and evaluation tools for each activity and preparing periodic reports (weekly, monthly, and annual) approved by the branch manager.
- Supporting team leaders in management through individual evaluations.
- Ensuring plantation management aligns with current and future certification standards.
- Verifying with HR the employee contracts and current workforce (weekly labor cash calculation).
Profile:
- Master’s degree in Agronomy / BTS
- Proficient in French and basic knowledge of English
- Proficient in computer tools (Word, Excel)
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent organizational, planning, and leadership skills
- Strong analytical, synthesis, and writing skills
- Willingness to frequently work in the field
- Ability to manage and work in a team
- Teaching skills
- Strong verbal communication and honesty
