Job Description
Based at our Rousset (13) site and reporting to the Executive Director, the Sales Manager defines, leads, and oversees the company’s commercial strategy.
In collaboration with production in Madagascar, you will be responsible for managing revenue, profit margins, and promoting sustainable growth by leading the sales team.
This role is strongly oriented towards international markets.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Commercial Strategy and Management:
- Develop the commercial strategy and budget.
- Define the commercial action plan for the scope of responsibility.
- Relay strategic information to the sales force.
- Manage the sales team within your scope.
- Maintain client portfolios within your scope: plan and conduct visits, negotiate contracts, services, prices, and discounts.
- Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans for commercial opportunities.
- Analyze and monitor client data, market trends, competition, and potential prospects.
- Develop and manage a portfolio of potential clients (prospects, leads): identify, prospect, adapt approaches to targets, and prepare agreements.
- Collaborate and coordinate with various teams (marketing, sales, customer service, etc.).
- Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Establish performance indicators for commercial activities.
Supply Chain Coordination
- In collaboration with the Director of the Essential Oils and Extracts Department in Madagascar, set purchasing and production strategies by campaign and product.
- Refine requirements, quality, and volumes per product according to each client’s needs.
- Manage export schedules from origin.
- Oversee the supply chain up to customer delivery.
- Manage group stock risk (Madagascar – Floating – France).
Sales and Administrative Management
- Optimize sales organization, processes, and resources to achieve business activities.
- Maintain dashboards (maps, lists, charts, gauges, indicators) and suggest improvements for monitoring tools and sales processes.
- Support team HR: coach the sales force, strengthen motivation with challenges, and develop skills through training.
- Prepare and monitor an operating budget, establish an annual forecast, and track and explain variances.
Additional Activities
- Participate in cross-functional projects with other departments to improve products and services.
- Contribute to the development and execution of marketing strategy.
- Conduct or oversee technical sales activities, pre-sales, or post-sales.
- Organize, participate in, and monitor trade shows, conferences, seminars, and client visits, both national and international.
Required Profile
- 5 years of experience in a similar role within a large-scale organization.
- Knowledge of the agro-industrial, agro-food, and/or aromatic materials and perfumery sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Challenge-driven.
- Rigorous, organized, and responsive.
- Fluent in French and English (proficiency in a third language is a plus).

- Strong analytical and leadership skills to achieve defined objectives.
